HISTORY
B&B Precise Products was established in 1990 in Albion, Maine by Ernest Rood & Will Rood. B&B started out in the garage of Will’s home sharpening cutting tools on a part time basis. The business quickly took off and then CNC Machines were added to support local machine shops and manufacturers.
In order to improve systemically B&B became ISO 9001:2000 registered. ISO registration was an entryway into new customers & markets and brought more opportunities.
With continued growth space became constricting and there was a need for relocation.
In 2000 B&B moved to it’s current location in Benton, Maine at 25 Neck Road and continued to expand into large turning up to 52” diameter of high temp alloy forgings.
In 2008 B&B achieved AS9100, Revision C, certification to support aerospace customers all over the United States. Aerospace products such as mechanical actuation, controls and rotating engine components became the niche of the products manufactured.
The next move was to become an integral supplier for hydraulic manifolds and valves.
From custom tooling, internal deburring, bore scopes, microscopes, assembly, lee plug installation and dock to stock delegation B&B implemented systems and capabilities to become a preferred supplier in the hydraulic manifold & cylinder business.
Today B&B Precise serves Aerospace, Defense, Navy & Power Generation customers all over the world with medium to high volume- high complexity, tight tolerance components complete to print.
